Not many people who have visited Europe have missed out Paris as it is one of the top destinations in the world. 2 million people who live in Paris and the surrounding suburbs and if you expand further into the Paris metropolitan area you will find an overall population of over 10 million people. Paris is a great place to travel around with an excellent transportation system.

The international capital of fashion and art resides in Paris so when something new happens in the fashion industry it is safe to assume that it all started in Paris. But Paris has more than just fashion to offer discerning visitors including museums and art galleries, as Paris has been fortunate in the past with the number of world class artists that have spent time there.

If you are planning a trip to Paris then you will no doubt have plans to visit the big three attractions; just don’t limit yourself just to these when there are plenty of other places of interest. You probably know their names well even if you haven’t seen them in real life like the famous cathedral - Notre Dame, the beautiful Eiffel Tower and the marvelous Arc de Triomphe.

However, when it’s a museum you want to visit, it has to be the Louvre which happens to be one of the most popular and largest in the world. Paris does not have the best weather in the world, but at the same time it is very steady throughout the year and the Oceanic climate of Paris ensures that temperatures never get too hot or too cold. In the winter months for example, temperatures hover around the 40 degree Fahrenheit area rising to an average of 75 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer so travel is never an arduous affair.

Two airports service Paris, Orly Airport which is the smaller of the two and Roissy-en-France which is a very busy international airport. As Roissy-en-France is so large it is able to have direct flights both incoming and outgoing to most of the international destinations.

You can visit Paris at anytime if the year and never be disappointed whether you are hoping to visit all the major attractions or just to relax. If you want to plan a trip to a great destination Paris is one option that you should consider as it has a lot to offer no matter what your interests are.
